This was painted in my final year at The South Australian School of Art. The scene is the kitchen of the share house I lived in in Norwood, along with several others. I am the character on the swing, through the window. The swing does actually swing. At this time, I was making paintings that went beyond the four sides of a two-dimensional surface. I often added cut-out pieces.
This painting was bought by a collecter, from Sydney, who had some very impressive pieces. It was my first sale.
