Lake Wesserunsett, 1976
Oil on Canvas and Board
180 x 150 cm

I was given a full fellowship to attend Skowhegan in the Summer of 1976.

It was wonderful to escape the Summer heat of NYC and get away to the paradise and stimulation of the Skowhegan Summer School. There were sixty students from all over the US, all working hard, for several weeks in a beautiful Maine setting.

This work has add-on pieces. I was still working this way, but was soon to limit myself to working only within the four sides of the canvas.

The figure in the work is a self-portrait.
