| In 1997 Jane and I were living in a penthouse apartment in the Sunshine Coast town of Caloundra. I take what I can from wherever I happen to be. This painting shows the apartments opposite ours. The painting is very large. I enjoyed its abstract passages. The title is taken from the name of a song by Tony Worsley who opened a restaurant in Caloundra called Velvet Waters. Jane and I spent many enjoyable nights there. |
