When I arrived in Roswell, New Mexico, from Hobart, to begin my 12 month residency, I had few plans for the body of work I wanted to create. I did have one sketch in my note book from Hobart. It was of several men, pre-occupied with their mobile phones and a naked woman in the same space.
I began this painting first, in Roswell, to get myself started. The woman is Grace, who was visiting an artist on the residency. Also in the painting is Don Anderson (left) and Stephen Fleming (right), Nick and Travis (rear).
